Es una investigación desde y hacia los cuerpos cuestionando las nociones de territorios y sus problemáticas, hasta llegar a una reflexión sobre el pertenecer o no, y las consecuencias que conlleva habitarlo o ser desplazado; coexistir con el ser-mujer y una tierra-habitante. Semiotics of the Forest is the result of a collaboration that narrates, through Enea Lebrun's photographs, the journey of different performances carried out by the artists Carolina Figueiredo and Paulette Guardia in fragile ecosystems in Panama, revealing the intimate relationship of the feminine body and devastation. It is an investigation from and towards the body, questioning the notions of territories and their complications, to reflect upon belonging or not, and the consequences of inhabiting it or being displaced; to coexist with being-woman and a land-inhabitant. La realidad de que aún hay especies por descubrir me ha hecho generar esta serie de híbridos de especies tropicales — nuevos individuos de un posible reciente descubrimiento. Estos individuos muestran una evolución genética como parte de la adaptación y resiliencia de las plantas ante el cambio climático. In botany it is speculated that around 80% of the plant species in Panama have already been discovered. The fact that there are still species to be discovered has driven me to generate these series of hybrids of tropical species - new individuals from a possible recent discovery. During quarantine, part of my daily routine was to carefully observe the birth and death of my plants. This repetitive behavior added a bit of structure to the long days of confinement. Eventually I changed my perspective and looked at them as an experiment, in which all results are worth. If the plant lives, fine. Moveo originó como una pieza performática. Pero el constante cuestionamiento y experimentación fueron razones suficientes para redireccionar el proyecto hacia una investigación abierta, sin un fin. Moveo se exterioriza como un diario visual, un registro presente en la red. A practice that explores the constant reciprocity between mental perception, environment and body, by studying habits and gestures. Moveo originated as a performance piece. But the continuous questioning and experimentation were enough to redirect the project towards an open investigation, without an end.
